For my 2006 4.2 supercharged overfinch,has an exide eb950 fitted,but
Its not liking the cold weather,so time to renew

Try Tayna. An 020 sized battery will slip in nicely. Helps if you workout a bit before handling though😉 Previous cars:

No need for an AGM as you haven't got stop/start on your vehicle. Previous cars:

AGM isn't for stop start.

AGM is less susceptible to current loss, a godsend on these cars.

+1 for AGM, I've fitted a couple to "non AGM" RRs and found they've solved many of the electrical niggles that we sometimes get. They're not much dearer than the old type now.

Pays your money and takes your choice. I'm not getting into a debate but suffice to say that I've had "normal" batteries in mine with 7 years between changes. Previous cars:

+1 for AGM, certainly for TDV8’s, as my normal battery would not run the timed climate control for more than about 3 mins. TDV8 4.4 2012

Did look at agm,but was told didnt need an agm battery?

that's true , it doesn't NEED one but a lot of us on here have found that there are benefits to fitting one.
Nobody has ever been sat in their car that wont start and think "I wish I'd bought a lead acid battery"
