Most have died, two hard winters have really finished them off. They really don't like snow as the melt gets right into the growing tip.

They will often sprout the following year from the base, so if you cut them off level with the ground you may be lucky and see shoots next year. As the roots are already established they will grow very quickly.

Trust me i am as disappointed as you guys as i really wanted to do some tree pulling.... Laughing So yes i will have to find another, ill keep an eye out when taking the kids over the park. Dont know if i can get Angelina Jolie but i could ask the missis to put a bikini on and wave a flag at the start or something, sure she wont mind.... Laughing

yea Dan I have noticed similar looking palm type tree's in the same predicament as mine...ie dead...this winter has had its toll. 2004 black Vogue TD6

O/T but if you wrap your palms, cordylines etc with straw or fleece they will usually survive

we sort of done this but only bubble wrapped the leaves, dint think about the base of the plants...
