Is my car Euro 5 or Euro 6?

We're off to France for the first time in years.Hooray!!

Now I realise that I will need a Crit Air sticker based upon the Euro specification of my car. However, I am getting conflicting information as to whether it's Euro 5 or Euro 6. The Crit Air thing doesn't seem too bothered as it appears to
group them in the same purple sticker 1 category. But I am now interested as to what it might be.

My car was registered August 2015 and the information suggests that only cars registered from September 2016 will be Euro 6. However, an HPI site suggests that it is in fact Euro 6 when I enter my registration.

Does anyone know the best way to check please?

TIA

Geoff

Pretty sure that's for the diesels... AFAIK all 5.0 S/C's are EURO6 that's why the 5.0 L322 is getting more sought after... Pete

None of them were Euro 6-compliant until 2015 - no current emissions zones require petrols to be Euro 6 in any case.

If an L405 diesel doesn’t need AdBlue, it’s not Euro 6-compliant.

that makes sense.. Thumbs Up

as for the crit air sticker it seems like yours is grouped [as you said] into the purple section Geoff,

Crit'Air categories

Green – Crit’Air E (zero emissions – electric and hydrogen vehicles)
Purple – Crit’Air 1 (gas and rechargeable hybrid vehicles)
Yellow – Crit’Air 2 (Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles)
Orange – Crit’Air 3 (Euro 4 vehicles)
Burgundy – Crit’Air 4 (Euro 3 vehicles)
Dark Grey – Crit’Air 5 (Euro 2 vehicles)

We're going to France on Friday and I don't have one. I just read you have to apply weeks in advance so it doesn't look as if I will be getting one. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

I think you get a printable receipt Stuart that you can take with you. It costs about 4 euro but the fine is 70 Euro So probably worth just ordering anyway. Having said that Ive driven in France 6 or 7 times in the last 12 months and never been stopped to check if I have one. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

Yes, you do. I did mine online early last week and had a confirmation and receipt back about 24hrs later. Cut out the sticker bit and just put it on my windscreen (bottom on drivers side).

Never had any issue when driving round Grenoble last week (it's compulsory to have one there).
