Auxiliary battery state of health

Morning all,

Quick bit of advice required...
My start stop has stopped working recently on my 2013 L405 AB.
I have done a quick health check on the auxiliary battery and this is what it shows.

Do we think it need replacing?

i would try putting it on a battery charger conditioner before replacing it might bring it back to a good state new vehicle purchase

there's an argument that some say the stop/start is a pain..certainly if you want this function then try to charge the battery or replace it.. ... - .- -.

So quick update.
I went down to the local euro carparts and spoke to them about testing a good battery.

The little tester I have shows up " good - recharge" but on mine it was " recharge and test" this might be due to something called surface charge and can be a sign of an unstable battery.
Anyway I have bought and fitted the new battery and we're all good.
Start stop is working a treat.

That was my reaction too - maybe it was an option on earlier cars, like TPMS was, then became mandatory later ?

Well I have changed both batteries now and car is all good and start/stop is working 🙂

I'd take the measurements above with a very large pinch of salt, however, an internal resistance of 5 mOhms or above is a good indicator of a defective or reduced capacity battery. 17 mOhms suggests to me that the test lead resistance isn't 'zeroed out' as would be the case with a calibrated tester, but also says all is not well with the battery - just not in a quantifiable way.

BTW, DON'T go putting a standard multimeter across a battery to measure internal resistance, at best, you'll get a strange negative reading, at worst, you'll have a one-shot handwarmer....
