Yesterday!

I'm smitten. The interior is a work of art. A quid in electricity for the 20 mile commute this morning also can't be bad.

Good luck with the handover Dixy Thumbs Up

2016 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Loire Blue

Placed the order at Gaydon on October 9th 2021
Started thread in Jan 2022
Delivery 15th March 2023
P530 Autobiography in Portofino, Perlino, full size spare, tow hitch, no chav glass.

But worth the wait.

Having driven oil burners for over 10 years it is nice to be back in a V8 petrol.
I thought the HSE was plush but this is another level.

For those of you still waiting it is worth it. letters not necessarily in the right order

As requested, only subtle exterior details differ from the HSE I had for 4 months, inside is a significant step up and the HSE was no slum.
But the engine is just a sheer indulgence, the D350 is perfectly adequate. P530 on start up is like releasing the genie from the bottle "I am here to serve you master" then it quietly waits until you command release the dogs of war. letters not necessarily in the right order

Really a fantastic looking L460, Dixy! Clear glass, perlino and dark blue - pure classic!

Did you get the Signature sound, Dixy, or did you end up with a downgraded 3D version?

An additional tracker which has reduced the insurance cost and a Ghost like immobiliser. It's not going anywhere now even with the key.

Does the Ghost-like immobiliser still invalidate the warranty? I wanted one fitted to mine but got spooked when the dealer said it cuts into the wiring loom which essentially rules out any kind of electrical issue should JLR want to be difficult with a warranty claim.

My immobiliser uses multiple Can Bus blocking systems that do not require a wire to be cut. It has a valet function that means you can turn it off for service visits.

There is no fob only an app key, which only works when the phone is in the car and the app is active. This is the main difference between the Ghost which also has an app key but it can be sensed from quite a distance away, meaning most people only use the physical key code before starting rather than the app key.

As for the Warranty, I haven't asked. My experience is that I have had additional immobilisers/trackers fitted on my last 3 Range Rovers and other marques. All of which have been dealer serviced without issue and have been accepted as PX without any questions even when the additional security has been explained. I don't think I've had any warranty issues but in the past LR assist have usually sorted the problem and they don't care about additional security. Worst case is I could have it easily removed if there is a warranty issue potentially related to the additional security.

I have used the same fitter for years. He has masses of experience of fitting security devices on cars much more expensive than Range Rovers. I'd happily share his contact details via PM. MY23 D350 HSE
