Few Q's about the 10.25 screens

Getting seriously tempted to buy one now just for the fact I can have waze running pretty much all the time and have warnings....pretty sure i picked up 3 points yesterday from a camera van Censored

The main question is how are calls handled? guessing you have the option of factory buetooth or the new screen.
Which system does the steering wheel phone button activate?

As it runs android, if you log in with a google account does the 'find my phone' feature work? if you add a data sim the headunit will also double as a tracker? Current

I use CarPlay. Calls (and all sounds) are routed through CarPlay.

I haven’t tried the steering wheel phone button. I use the screen and CarPlay for calls. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

Same as Bora20, I use Carplay when I'm in the car, so all call get routed through the Carplay interface on the main screen. I do occasionally use the 'end call' button on the steering wheel, but that's it. Since Carplay works wth Siri, you literally don't need to touch the screen to make, take or reject calls.

Works like a charm.

Btw, there are a couple of options that are far better than Waze for speed cameras: RadarAll (works everywhere) and Saphe, albeit this last one only supports Carplay in some countries only. Both apps use SCDB's radar database, which is the best in the business, and both indicate the exact radar position, unlike the Censored 'danger zones' that are mandatory in France.

I tried the steering wheel button last night. It calls up the OEM system which is old and dreadful to use.

“Hey Siri” works so much better. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

Thumbs Up thats exatly what I want it do, I want my phone to stay connected to the old system by bluetooth only and use the headunit on it's own...Thats the main reason I'm looking at the 10.25 systems rather than the MMI boxes. If I used an MMI box with the factory screen everything gets routed through android auto or carplay Current

I thought I wanted that too. Turns out, I did not as CarPlay works so much better seamlessly switching between phone calls, text messages, Wave, and Amazon music. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

Who did you buy your 10.25 screens from - it seems that Poseidon is not an option anymore
