I will check exactly on the age of the install iv got paperwork somewhere. The lpg I had check it over had it plugged in to his laptop and did a check over giving it a clean bill of health.

Except this stalling issue at switch over I'm sure it's a mapping problem iv got some prins lpg software and lead iv never used which is meant to be able to connect to this brc system but I wouldn't know what I was looking at to be honest.

Have you got an IID Tool? I'd watch the fuel pressure on petrol as it switches over and see what happens.

On LPG mine was cranking for ages before I fitted the new reducers but the diaphragm had gone in one of them so it was filling the inlet with LPG. There are two little thin rubber pipes that come off the reducers, when you've stopped the car, pull one of them off and listen/sniff it and see if you can smell LPG coming from the reducer.

I would have hoped the check up from the lpg would have picked up on that but you never know. He said it had good pressure and was set to run rich because of the engine type. He is pretty good been doing it for years on anything that's runs on lpg

It seems the excellent Simon on the lpg forum may have come up with the reason my car stalls when switching from lpg back to petrol, he suggests I may be missing a reducer on the petrol return line to tank. I replaced this almost the 1st day I got the car due to it leaking fuel.

The old rubber hose may have had a reducer fitted internally some where, the suggestion is and I think i agree is that the fuel pressure is to low at the fuel rail when running on lpg it should read almost the same running on petrol or lpg. Just got to connect up a pressure gauge and test it as my ID 11 tool doesn't seem to measure fuel rail pressure on the petrol engine

Sorry Dave, I hadn't seen your reply.

My car had a return plumbed into the fuel line and when watching on the IID tool, from memory, it used to sit around 310kpa fuel pressure when running on LPG.

Wow not almost a year but.....I fitted a reducer 1.2mm into the fuel return line back to the tank so far all seems well. Needs a proper test drive tho

Fingers crossed for you, Dave.

I fixed all the issues my car had by removing the LPG when I fitted new cylinder heads and cams Smile

Fancying a change again now though so it's likely to be up for sale imminently.

Shocked never seen this thread before, mine is a 07 with BRG since new does the same thing since a few weeks, cranking for a 2 or 3 seconds after I switched of the engine running on LPG. Which reducers have you used to replace the old ones please? Any part number or name or pic? Thank in advance. Bow down Bow down Bow down Bow down
