Afternoon all,

I need some help please, I need to reattach a few of my letters on bonnet, i have cleaned off old backing tape, anyone know if there is a kit for the replacement tape please or if not what tape is required please.

Its of a SV so metal lettering so heavier than the standard plastic letters.

Any help would be appreciated please.

3M VHB (Very High Bond) is widely used, should hold them no bother... Thumbs Up Pete

Well you can but the preparation would be lengthy, you would have to remove them to do it properly and it won't last that long....

So the answer to your question is no.... Thumbs Up Pete

it would be easier wouldnt it...

its probably possible but difficult..

i have seen a YT video where a chinese women plastic coats over the letters and then cuts away the the area around then leaving just the letters coated...looked ok but dont know how long it would last.

Mine were painted just before I bought the car. They were very tarnished prior. After a few months letters started to fall off so I bought a couple of full letter sets from etsy at about £7 each. A local body shop guy fitted the new set for £20. All good since then, about 6 months ago. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged
