Well I am thoughts about my beloved 2011 Range Rover, I have owned the car now for 11 years, in that time the mileage has risen to 48k. The problem I have (if it is a problem) is that it only comes of the garage now for 2 weeks in April then again 2weeks in August apart from the odd sunny days I take it out to give it a bit of fresh air. We use my wife’s BMW i3 as our every day car now, with a range of 180 miles it does not cause any a range problems.
Do you think I am letting it devalue in price, should I sell it while its worth some money and buy the cheapest L322 I can get and just run it for the couple of holidays about 5 hundred miles, sell it on cheap and buy another the following year?
The one draw back is, every now and then, I get great pleasure in retreating to the garage for a couple of nights armed with a few beers beers and polish the car to death. Then again I suppose I could do that with a much older model, maybe even get more of kick out of seeing it transform from tatty to decent.
As you can see, being a 78 year old owner, I let my heart rule when it come to Range Rover. I need someone with a sharp financial brain to convince me which direction is sensible.

Keep it. It's your pride and joy. If you sell it, you will likely miss it and regret it.

It would be a different matter if you didn't care for the car.

One thing I would do if I were in your shoes though - use it more and enjoy it more  Kev

The car you know is OK is always going to be cheaper to run than anything 'cheaper' you replace it with.

I think you have answered your own question Sir, it has to be keep it and enjoy looking after it.
Buying the cheapest L322's could lead wrecked holidays due to breakdowns etc.

A low mileage, single owner late L322 may well go up in value if you don’t put more miles on it. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I fear that there is a grain of truth there. I was in my garage today re-sorting my large stock of spare RR parts, and it has got to the point where friends and neighbours see said stock and start asking embarrassing questions

Definitely keep it. You know the history of the car. You buy cheap, you buy trouble and it will need work.
As others have said, make a point of enjoying it more. Its a loved and pampered car and that is rare.

I have a 2012 with 75000 miles, owned for near as dammit eight years and around 60k of the miles, which is my daily. Guess what, single owner, no miles, etc when I bought it.

When I go to work I take my BMW (2014 with 23000 miles). The hack is an intergalactic Freelander. This sounds like a “my dog’s bigger than your’s etc”. That’s not the intention. There’s really good stuff out there for (relatively) not much money.

Just remember you’re not buying a £20k car. You’re buying a £100k car for £20k. Big difference.

Keep it. The late 322s are “peak” RR. I keep looking at 405s, I’ve driven a couple and they are very very good machines. They are not £40k better than what we have. I’d also worry about throwing random carp in the back.
