Whole Car Dropping Overnight

Recently my 2011 FFRR seems to drop down a noticeable amount on all corners (equal drop front to back, left to right) when left overnight.

What component failure normally points to an equal drop of suspension across the whole vehicle when left overnight? I only seem to see people reporting drops on one side.

It’s worth mentioning this has only happened since I carried a large load in the boot (about 200kg so no different to 2/3 people) whereas normally it’s just me in the car.

Thanks

Don't take this as gospel but I did read a thread a while back where there was an air leak at one corner and when the cars electronics systems periodically wake up, it detects the height difference and levels the car so all four corners match. Question

It could also be that you have a leak in the system and if both valve blocks are not holding a good seal, then air will leak from the complete system thus levelling the car at all four corners.

Control module fault ? Also when the car is back to normal ride height, check all four height sensors are reading the same in case this is a cause, probably not but, but it is a simple check to carry out.

I would think that carrying 200Kg recently is just a coincidence considering what these will carry of tow.
Does the car level out relatively quickly and stay there once you start the car ? I would start by listening and checking for leaks first, easy and cheap to do. Hope this helps

A lot of the time you can hear a bag leaking, put the car in off road height and listen at each wheel... Thumbs Up Pete

If you have no joy listening at the wheel arch you could try disconnecting the battery and leaving it over night, as Merchy says they do wake up and re-level them selves. With no battery if you have a leak at one corner, that corner only will drop as it’s unable to re-level. Then It’s soapy water spray to find it.

Air leak ( not just from the bag ) or faulty sensor signal will do this. AFAIK you can pull the fuse to the air suspension ECU rather than disconnecting the battery overnight. A GAP IID tool will be of great assistance in diagnostics on this Thumbs Up 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
