Dead battery D350

Oh dear ! I didn’t use my RR for two days and just had a call from a In control . Check you car is still there ! It is but battery totally dead. My wife and I noticed electrical whirring noises coming from behind the driver side headlight really since I have owned it on and off. Sounded like whatever was going on was consuming much battery tbh but out it down to the dark arts of LR. Anyway Tech booked for lunchtime tomorrow Any ideas chaps ? 2006 S/C owned from new. Black, sand with black inserts. Shes a thirsty girl. ( now gone)

Good luck tomorrow, there have been a few issues with alternators failing to charge so might be worth mentioning to LR assist, as you may have just juiced the battery if it wasnt charging

This will be a battery replacement job I’m sure. Unfortunately not an easy job.

I had exactly the same issue . Your car has been stolen was my message ! Anyway rescued . Engineer couldn’t understand why the car wasn’t responding as when he went to jump start it, the battery wasn’t that bad. That’s 6 /7 months ago.

A load of very annoying b*****ks from the dealer, anyway they said no problem. B off , car battery recharged and actually no issues since .
Just see what the technician says, maybe they have more news, but don’t be afraid of just having the battery recharged…may just be enough. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. So the dealer has had it for a week and not found a fault. Funny that as the in control app suggested they only moved it late Thursday so it sat un touched for four days. So much for immediate attention for the L460. Flying tech had suggested the power steering had faulted for not shutting down which could explain the whirring noise I heard. 2006 S/C owned from new. I collected it after it had been with the dealership for 8 days. They have been unable to find a problem but did clear down some codes relating to the ARB which didn’t come back ! So I have to play Guinea pig and see if it flats again ! Not the outcome I was hoping for. We shall see. 2006 S/C owned from new. Black, sand with black inserts. Shes a thirsty girl. ( now gone)

Seems there was an issue with approach unlocking and depart locking , which drained the battery.
Has been disabled in the USA/ maybe here as well … that may of been the problem . Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. I think approach unlocking is disabled until further notice. Keyless entry where you press the button on the handle or use the fob is all that’s available aside from physical keyed entry.

Approach could make a return in a software update, if it does I will turn it off. We had it in a VW I’d3 it was annoying as hell. If the car was parked in the closest bay to our house it would unlock every time we opened the front door! MY23 PHEV HSE

I hired a Renault Clio in Brittany the other week and it had approach unlocking. Loved it. Can't understand why the might of JLR can't get it to work.
