Damage to my bestie

Some bas Censored came out of a side street without stopping straight into the side of me, took out rear door, wing and wheel Big Cry . It’s in the repair shop now being done after insurance gave the go-ahead, luckily I had a Dashcam in that recorded the whole incident so 3rd party cannot deny blame.
Hopefully all will be as good as before when I get it back.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about this, it makes your heart sink, doesn’t it?
I’m sure it will be back to 100% soon though.
Ask them to do a 4-wheel alignment check after repair, the wheel seems to have taken the most of the hit? Thumbs Up

OT: Reminds me of my old driving teacher way back when I was 17, a wiry hard-as-nails little Scottish drill sergeant with a booming voice, (I was sh*t scared of him, thus made few mistakes, lol!).
After passing my test 1st time, he said “well done lad, now just one piece of advice to you in your driving: Treat every other road user like a F***ING IDIOT and most of the time you’ll be right”
I wiped the spray of his saliva from my face and drove home, never forgetting those harsh words.
By God though, he was right! Neutral “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Yes it’s having a 4 wheel alignment as part of the repair, I enquired and they confirmed they would.

On another note, the insurance have given me a 71 plate BMW X5 as a courtesy car, its been nice to compare it as a so called rival to the RR, but I’m pleased to say its not in the same league as the RR, except for performance where it is a good all rounder.

OT but
someone ran into my neighbours Porche and tried to drive off but thankfully someone spotted him and told my neighbour. His car is now in the workshop being repaired and he has been given an Audi R8 as a loaner whilst his is being repaired. It's costing the other guy £951 per day for the hire car!! 2013 Vogue SE SDV8

I had an x5 whilst mine was being repaired and like you its an ok car but even compared to my 2007 supercharged it doesn't cut it.
Hope the repair works out well - interestingly when I got the renewal it went up by 80 quid apparently you are more likely to have another accident if some idiot runs into you - how does that work Confused

Yes the insurance is the annoying part, I’m dreading the renewal quote as it’s already being loaded because of the type of vehicle it is, then you get penalised for something thats not you fault.

The other bloke hopefully had insurance, which then means that it's the insurance companies that pick up the costs, and then they just pass that onto all of us again. Insurance companies will never be out of pocket. Censored

Yip, learned the hard way that insurance companies never lose out. I had a “protected no claims bonus” some years ago. Had to make a claim and found that, yes, I kept my protected NCB but my policy price had almost tripled Censored Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
