United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Variable damping sensor replacement

I’m sick of keep cutting and soldering the wires to these things so I’ve bought two new ones. They have arrived in LR bags so they are original.

All they are, are the sensors with two wires. There’s no plugs so I’ll have to solder them in and use some heat shrink (I’m not using the connectors supplied). From what I can see, the cables disappear into a larger loom near the struts. Is it literally snip them and solder the new ones in?
I was expecting a modification but there’s nothing modified that’s obvious to the eye.

Thanks 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

That’s what I did with mine. Not the best fix I know. Maybe the wires are thicker. Didn’t study them. Make a note of the colours too.

Exactly that. Use some decent connectors and solder the stripped wires. The design is different to the original iirc 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
