Hello Philcorsa, I'm in your position now as I have the docking station and Venture cam. My RR Vogue MY08 did not come with a docking station so I plan to retrofit the docking station and enable it using my IIDtool. Hos much of the glovebox trim did you take away to fit the docking station?
Your photos show the cabling but not how you fitted the station. Do you have more details of the fitting, cut outs etc?

yes you have to cut a part of the glovebox, but it's really easy
the most annoying thing is to dismantle the dashboard

So, I took the leap and removed the upper glovebox and installed the Venturecam dockingstation. For others benefit I attach some pictures on the hole that needs to be installed in the upper glovebox to fit the venturecam.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread;

I'm intending fitting a venture cam to a 2010 L322 which has surround cameras. I wondered if anyone, particularly those who have done a retrofit might know the following please?

* Is there any link / commonality with surround cameras? (Im thinking not)
* Do all vehicles have the loom with plug C2685 on it? (2 x 4 pins behind the passenger side of the dash)
* Do all vehicles have the loom with plug C2703 on it? (which I believe might be similar to a co-ax plug and connects at the other end to the touchscreen) or;
* On later vehicles is C2703 in fact used or does the camera link directly to the car?

I am also in the process of doing the same, had a venture can for years, just got a docking station and a battery to fit!

Hi, I just installed a Venture cam into my surround camera equipped 2011 4.4tdv8, easy install, camera has new battery and charging.......but how do I pair the camera to the car, do I need some coding of some sort, any help would be much appreciated

It needs to be enabled in the cars CCF file. If you have a GAP IID you can do that yourself, not sure what other platforms are suitable to do so.

You did get a 2010+ dock didn't you? If so, where from & are there any more available please?

Yes dock and camera was from a late 2010 Vogue 4.4TDV8. Car was freshly imported in near perfect condition with every option you could think off, but sadly the papers were not in order so MOT scrapped the car, such a crying shame. No other venture cams available...sorry.
