Hi,

I have just purchased a 2017 RR 5.0 SC, and I absolutely love it, it’s in great condition but it high mileage at 96,000 miles. I am planning to get it serviced regularly etc and am thinking of having the gearbox flushed but what else can I do between services to keep her in the best shape mechanically I can?

Are there any tips I should do regularly to give myself a fighting chance of keeping the car as trouble free as possible?

An oil/filter change in between services.

Should I add anything occasionally like an additive or similar you think?

If additives were any good then the manufacturer would recommend them, I think you will find they don't...

Just change the oil every 6 months or sooner if you do lots of miles, off roading or towing...

Check pipes, have a good look now and again for leaks, catch them early and you can see where it's coming from...

Keep it clean, inside, outside and underneath.... feed the leather twice a year and keep on top of issues...

And a thousand other things you can think of.... just don't believe the hype about additives etc....  Pete

Going to get the gearbox flushed - its just had an oil change so should be good for 6 months (I don't do high miles).
