[SOLD] Our 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE,122K miles,FSH, £8995

After much deliberation, we've decided it's time to reduce the number of cars we own and offer for sale our beloved 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE. We simply have too many cars in the household and this wonderful car is not getting used enough.

Equipped with the highly desirable 4.4 TDV8 and matched to the superb 8 speed ZF gearbox, as you’ll know this is the one to have if you're looking for a late model L322. Presented in stunning Sumatra Black (which is more of a very dark blue than black) and with contrasting ivory interior with Grand Black Lacquer trim inserts – all of which is in fantastic condition.

PRICE: £8995 ovno.
LOCATION - North Lincolnshire, near the Humber Bridge.

SPECIFICATION - This lovely car is a ‘Vogue SE’ specification, so benefits from features such as heated / cooled aniline leather seats and the superb radar / adaptive cruise control as well as many other features above standard Vogue spec. Additionally, this car was ordered with around £5K of factory extra's including: Vision Assist Pack (blind spot monitoring, 360 surround camera's, etc.), Four zone climate control, Detachable tow bar, Dual View Touchscreen, Grand Black Lacquer trim , Adaptive Xenon headlights (which turn when cornering) and a full size spare.

PREVIOUS OWNERS - Only 2 previous owners (so 3 including us), the first of which was a director at Guy Salmon Land Rover in Wakefield who ran the vehicle for two and a half years and naturally had it serviced every year without fail. The next owner had the vehicle for four years and had it serviced every year, despite only covering around 8K miles per annum. They then traded it in at a main agent for a L405. We have personally owned this vehicle since 2018.

SERVICE HISTORY - Full and documented service history with many invoices. 7 main dealer stamps in the book (12K, 27K, 38K, 52K, 60K, 68K & 75K). I have serviced the vehicle myself during our ownership (92k, 105K and 115K) and have retained all receipts as well as taken photographs. I only use the best quality and recommended Shell Helix AFL oil with the 9.5L required usually coming in at around £160 for the oil alone - Mileage is currently 122K.

MOT – Valid until 24th August 2024. Passed with no advisories.

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE – I always pre-MOT my vehicles myself and carry out the necessary preventative maintenance. In our ownership the car has benefitted from replacement front lower control arms / bushes, replacement rear hub knuckles, recent pads & discs all round, the front to rear brake pipe has been replaced, both rear brake flexi’s replaced, both front suspension air springs recently replaced, 2 x height sensors recently replaced (only one was faulty, but the other was giving non-linear voltage readouts when tested), the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley have been replaced (common issue). Recent discs and pads all round, together with 4 matching Michelin tyres with lots of tread remaining (5 to 6mm).

BODYWORK MAINTENANCE - The rear tailgate has been professionally repainted as it was just starting to bubble on the lower edge (as they all do) and the rear wheel arches were showing the first signs of surface rust where they sit behind the door seals trapping water - so these were taken back to bare metal and re-painted. Overall she presents beautifully.

Drives perfectly, pulls like a train, the gearshifts are seamless, everything works except for the rear reversing camera which has just stopped working. Here are some pictures (I'll add more in a short while):

Please PM me if interested and we can swap phone numbers and have a chat

KNOWN FAULTS - For full disclosure, there are two issues I know of (and this is already fully reflected in the price, so not a haggling point for prospective buyers please) :

(1) The rear surround camera system has 5 camera’s and the rear one in the tailgate has just stopped working. The short fly lead in the tailgate seems to have been the start of the problem as it was suffering from internal arcing on the 3v supply line within its sealed plastic terminal block (must have presumably done this from new) – so this short cable needs changing as well as the camera which appears to be dead. It’s a different camera to the standard rear camera, even those fitted to 2010 cars onwards. It has a blue 4 pin connector not the brown connector like the 'standard' 2010 on one. New from LR, the surround camera (part number LR031812) is £450 which is why I haven’t changed it yet! They do come up 2nd hand from time to time. However affordable new ones are available - Ribble Valley 4x4 as well as Simmonite’s occasionally get OEM versions of this surround camera and they sell them for £100+VAT, but they’re out of stock with both suppliers right now. Simmonite’s informed me that the manufacturer has stated 2 to 3 months for the next batch to be produced. As I’m selling the car, time is against me to wait for them to be manufactured and they’re pretty hard to find 2nd hand and probably not worth the risk as L322 tailgate cameras are prone to failing anyway! So I’ll leave this to the new owner. Factor in £150 for the parts (once available) and 20 mins to fit.

(2) The very common fault code of P040D-00 pops up if scanned. No engine management light has ever been triggered in the 40K we have driven the car. She runs perfectly, pulls like a train, doesn’t smoke at all, produces good MPG (32mpg+ on a motorway) and the DPF’s regen perfectly with zero differential pressure pre/post DPF after a regen (as graphed / logged with my GAP IID BT tool). Again, this is a very common fault and most 4.4 TDV8’s will either have this fault code present or will have had it. General consensus is it can be ignored, but factor in £300 to have a garage change the sensor in question if it bothers you. See here for more info: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic38739.html

PRICE - I believe £8995 to be a very sensible starting price given the cars fantastic condition, full service history, Vogue SE specification , long MOT, 4 excellent Michelin tyres, recent pads & discs, plus the additional £5K of factory extra’s specified.

If you’re interested please PM me and we can swap phone numbers and have a chat whenever convenient. You are most welcome to come and see the car if you're interested.

Very nice car. I'd be surprised if it isn't sold by the end of the weekend or even the end of today at that price..... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Many thanks for your kind comments, she is a great car and has never been a spot of bother in our 5 1/2 yrs of ownership.

The most annoying thing has been the rear surround camera packing up! Given time it's an easy and cheap fix, but if I wanted it done quickly then it becomes a very costly fix with sky-high main dealer prices for that particular part.

I know I've priced her very keenly, it's because I'm not the biggest fan of selling my cars. I therefore like to get the process over quickly, rather than deal with multiple potential buyers and the time investment that goes with that process. I'm also in the process of fully gutting and renovating our house, so have my hands very full!

Thanks again, Jon 1992 RR Classic 3.9 efi Vogue

Lovely, agree that should sell quickly at that price Thumbs Up

Sumatra black’s a more unusual but in my view beautiful colour, although I’m biased as mine is also Sumatra. As said above, looks black in dull light but a pronounced blue / purple sparkle in the sunshine.

Good luck with the sale. Jonathan

It never ceases to amaze me how well these cars can look after over 100,000 miles and 10 years if they are properly looked after. This is a lot of car for the money GLWTS

Thanks JoolsB! Very Happy

I always try to keep my cars in the best condition I can, but I think in general, owners tend to look after these.

Looks great. Rarely do I see an ad and think it would have been a better buy than my car, but this one definitely is the exception! GLWS
