As Stan says it's usually a metal heatshield mounting bracket underneath the gearbox that gives a tinny rattle.

A 2016 model may well be different but my 2013 car also has a bash plate under the gearbox. The heatshield and its mounting bracket is above that. I had to remove the plate when I investigated/fixed the fractured gearbox heatshield so I wouldn't rule out your car having one. |

I had a virbration with the gearbox heatshield (above the bash plate). Nothing was visibly bent so I used some self-adhesive velcro (the fluffy bit) to line the underside of the bracket and isolate the metal to metal interface between the bracket and heatsheild. It is now silent. Kev

Kev, I did exactly the same with mine but unfortunately it didn't cure the noise/vibration. I removed the heatshield again, cleaned it up and discovered a crack round one of the bolt holes. So a new heat shield required.
