But you're correct about the auto-off thing. Once the IR is no longer in range they turn off after 2 minutes.

I have exactly the same in the back I was wondering where my remote goes. Looks like some one messed up when mine got built??? I just keep the remote in the glove box. Never gets used so ain't to fussed but the proper rear centre storage looks alt better than mine.
