Parking heater aftermarket does not work: diverter valve?

Hallo everyone,
I'm desperate because I can't get my "after market" parking heater to work on my 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8.
With Gap id I activated the software and the parking heating menu appeared on the touch screen; I also installed the receiver with remote control in the trunk.
However, when I try to start the heater after a few seconds it stops and the error message B12B2-13 (2F) "auxiliary heater coolant diverter valve- general electrical failure- circuit open" appears.
Is it possible that it doesn't work because the heater control solenoid valve is missing since the parking heater option was not originally provided?
If so, is it possible to install it "do it yourself"? If I understand correctly it is located in correspondence with the left side mudguard (looking at the engine) and has only one solenoid.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me

I have a model which was first registered in Italy so I might be of help.
Also have the aux heater but it only comes on when it's below 16 or so degrees when the car is started to help warm up the engine quicker. Also installed the receiver for the remote today and it also doesn't work Rolling Eyes
I might look into this tomorrow. What sort of valves would I be looking for ?

Cheers, Ard

I did find this in the GAP IId tool manual:

Set HVAC for AHCM (L322-10)
This routine is required in order to use the AHCM Auxiliary Heater routines on these vehicles. It
only needs to be performed once

It was on page 121 of the GAP manual.

This should be the valve.
Come on from the videos I've seen it's mounted on the left side of the engine, looking at the car from the front.
I didn't see it in my engine but I found the electrical connector that should be connected to the valve: this free connector is, in my opinion, the cause of the error message that blocks the heater.
I wonder if anyone has ever mounted this valve and how they did it.

Well I just came back in after being faffing about with the GAP tool.
In the HVAC section you have the aux heater which is set to active and the parking heater which was set to inactive.
I turned it to active and written it to the car and now the fuel burning heater works using the T91 remote and the vents inside blowing warm air !
Hope this helps you Eddy.

Cheers, Ard

P.s. thinking about it I guess you wouldn't need that valve really, only if you do short distances.
My understanding is that the heater warms up the entire cooling circuit without the valve but with the valve all the heat is diverted to the interior circuit.

Just buy some old used valve and connect it to the socket. Thats it. You dont need to install it to water circuit.

Thanks for the suggestion: I had thought the same thing, that is, attaching only the valve to deceive the software but I thought it was incorrect.
But then what purpose would that valve serve?
Thanks again for the valuable suggestion: I'll proceed with the purchase

My 3.6 takes a while to get warmed up by the heater and so does the interior of the car. The diverter valve sends all the hot water from the FBH to the interior and only starts to warm the engine when the interior is warm I think.
