2016 L405 illuminated door sills

I have a 2016 L405 that I replaced the aluminum door sills with illuminated ones. After looking online it says it should be wired for them. Well to my surprise there is no wiring for them. So now my thought is getting power and ground from the rear door lights. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the harness that goes from the pillar to the rear door? I’ll tap the sill lights off the door lights. Thanks for any help anybody can offer.

Use the WIKI tab (top right).
There is a workshop manual for your year.
Also there is in the Info section of wiki a electrical diagrams url see from page 146 maybe this will help? 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

I’d carefully re-check if the wiring is there - I owned a ‘base’ spec Vogue in the past and that had the wiring fitted, so surprised if a 5.0 SC doesn’t, the plugs were well tucked away under the carpet / soundproofing and were not obvious initially - they should have a blanking plug in the connector which needs removing 👍 Jonathan

I’ll check again today after work and try to pull up the carpet some and dig under there and the installation and see if I can find them. Not a lot of work to work and I was expecting them to be sitting right there on the floor pans. I can’t believe it wouldn’t be wired for them as it wasn’t a cheap vehicle from the factory and is a high spec RR.

I replaced mine just last week, the plugs for the front plates were under the plastic trim on the B pillar side.clipped into the floor with blanking plug fitted as already stated. 2013 SDV8 4.4 Vogue SE Aintree Green

Unfortunately the plugs weren’t there when I looked. I’m hoping they are stuffed under the carpet or in the insulation somewhere.

Well I tore everything apart and they must of forgot to put the harnesses in for the illuminated sills as I couldn’t find them. On a positive note they are now operational and took about 30mins start to finish
