Hi all Having a weird issue hope someone can help
Some times Fatty will turn over straightaway and fire up and some time you need to turn the key 10+ times for it to start
New starting motor was fitted new battery and new earth leads still the same can go days with it working then days with having to turn it 10+ times i can't get my head around it any info would be greatly appreciated

Haven't changed that out yet as it does work most the time 😕 think that's me next port of call just wanted to see if anyone had had the same issue

I had exactly the same issue, only difference was that my ignition key is mounted in the centre console not the dash, fitting a new switch ( plastic / electrical section only )solved the problem.

A search of the site threads / posts and a good look in the wiki section should give you the info needed to help you change the switch.

Thanks, MY04 Petrol V8 is centre dash for the key, I will take out the plastic ignition switch and clean all the contacts, as it has been a bit tempermental over the winter months.

Ignition switch it is I change mine a few years back its pretty simple to swop out I even took the old switch apart cleaned it and put it somewhere safe never to be seen again.
You can get to it and spray some contact cleaner in there if it let's you down.
