Ireland 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Alternator or battery or something else

Hi guys

I see this topic is well covered in the search and I'm reading through the threads and some issues sound familiar and some I haven't had yet. I could do with your help though.

So I'm running a 2012 4.4 with the battery that came with it. I am having some issues which I will outline below and I'd love your feedback regarding a new battery too.

Issues:

1) Car would not start on a cold morning, used NOCO boost pack and it got me going

2) When I drive the car even for hours and I get home and put my charger (identical to Ctek) on it its always at one bar

3) When the car is fully charged by the charger and shows 4 bars, if I open a door it goes to one bar and starts charging again

4) When I put the Autel on it, and the Autel battery tester it says my battery is perfect, my starter is perfect but my generator is over charging, results below:

Ripple 55mV
No Load Voltage 15.04V
Load Voltage 14.77v

Im not sure I believe the Autel unit regarding the battery condition though so I think I will replace the battery and that way I know we are good from here. So Battery options. I was going to get a Bosch 019 AGM, they around $320, then the shop said he had an Exide AGM at €250, looking up the interwebs I see the Genuine JRL battery is an Exide EK950 AGM (017)

The Exide site says that the battery above is comparable to LR094642 and its specs are as follows
95 AH
AGM
CCA 850A

https://www.exidegroup.com/eu/en/battery/EK950

So my questions for the RR wizards is, what are your thoughts on the Exide Ek950 battery and do you think my low battery issue after driving is an alternator packing up or a battery on the way out?

Again, thanks in advance. Current yokes

If the battery is of unknown age it's probably best to replace it as they are not that expensive. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
