If it drains it will drain, and nothing can stop it .

Best to find the reason why it drains, and then fix it

I fixed 4 years ago the FSR and since then it was fine (fingers crossed) so i have one solar panel and an overload protector laying arround in the car

No, don't think so as all the power switches off with locking (even the one in the boot which was previously always live). Tbh, I think it's pretty bad that a new owner is having to consider one of these - cars should be able to sit unused for weeks and start fine.

Sorry but simply not true,

I use the Maplin Solar charger on my stock Range Rovers and it it works a treat with NO failed starts since I started using them.

HIGHLY recommended from a multiple user.

agree with Gaz, these solar chargers will prevent low level discharge from causing a flat battery. What they will not prevent / overcome though is a fault which flattens a battery over a couple of days. The output of these panels is not sufficient to counter high level discharge.

If your RR battery goes flat over 1 to 2 weeks, they will just maintain it. If it goes flat overnight though you need to sort the discharge issue. These chargers will charge a flat battery BUT due to the low output it will take 1 to 2 months to charge a flat battery depending on battery capacity and load demands from alarms and other electrical draw and discharge.

Are you sure? The manual says it is always working  Santorini Black RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8

Hello, I am looking at getting one of these for long term parking.
Checking the Maplin website there are various available, from 1W throught to 4.8W.
Is one better than the other, ie higher wattage?.
