I bought one about 4 years ago, when I had the issue of a dead battery every other day (FSR was still a big issues back then)

agree with Gaz, these solar chargers will prevent low level discharge from causing a flat battery. What they will not prevent / overcome though is a fault which flattens a battery over a couple of days. The output of these panels is not sufficient to counter high level discharge.
