Going to replace or remove? Was thinking of taking mine off anyway as I don’t use when getting in.

I removed mine when I got the car for a couple of reasons.
I don't particularly like the look of the car with them fitted.
I needed to remove them for rust repair and I had heard they were rust traps anyway.
I dodn't use them and you get the back of your leg dirty as you get in.

Mine were actually in very good condition and I sold them last weekend to a guy who was in a similar position to the OP. His had rotted away and the ones I had were aluminium apparently. ---------------------------------

Thanks, mine are OEMs so might be rotted, will find out when I rust proof, looks like the aftermarket ones are higher quality!

Looks the same as mine. Interesting, it fits 1:1?

Can't promise that, I've yet to fit, but they look identical.
I'm not really worried about some drilling as I have to drill out the old rusty bolts that snapped when I removed the nearside step.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

My o/side oem step was damaged when I bought the car. I bought the eBay ones as replacements and they are now fitted. They look great but a word to the wise: I’m glad I got the garage to fit them as they had to drill out the old bolts. Hope that helps. Des

I went from deployables on my L322 to no steps on my 405. I was waiting from my wife’s opinion on how easy or difficult it would be without. Thankfully her decision was that no steps were required Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
