5 sc petrol SVA 2017 - 2018

Just a quick question except for the cost to fill up , is there any other problems for the engine . Would only buy 1 with a RR warranty. Which would be the best to buy 2017 or pay more for 2018? Have a 4.4 V8 RR diesel love it but think petrol for me next as retired.

They're not rare, but there aren't that many so I'd suggest you buy on condition and the closest spec to what you want rather than worry about 17/18. I wanted Towbar, Sidesteps and HUD. They are common but not on all cars. Also there's many more black ones than other colours and I prefer not to have black cars (though have had plenty!). There's a two tone around at the moment on turbine wheels - doesn't look like an SVA to me on those rims, much as I like them, 514 is the SVA style. The my18 does have the facelift and some other changes so it wouldn't look quite so dated as the '17. But they're all just fantastic cars and the differences are very minor to me. I'm really enjoying mine and not in any hurry to move on the one of the last ('22) in a couple of years time when the time should be right. Mike - MPx

My 2017 MY engine has been fine so far, 62,000 miles.

I would be surprised if 510 v 525 bhp is a big difference in normal use, so I think the main differences are appearance (interior extra screen, shiny switches, exhaust finishers, different lights) and the seats on the 2018 on cars being more comfortable. I prefer the appearance of up to 2017 and was glad of the lower price. I'm hopeless at tech, so there might be some differences there I don't know about. Only Range Rovers since 1988

The SVA was 545 '17, 565 '18. You're talking about the 5.0 SC not the SVA.

FWIW I'm up to 83k now and like you have been lucky so far with no issues. Mike - MPx

South Africa 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I have the 2016 SVAB LWB which I bought about 19 months ago with about 7700 miles on it. Currently on around 31875 miles.

Vehicle is just a pleasure to use especially during long distance driving - we are currently on a trip of about 3000 miles of which we did 1000 miles a few days ago. Not sure if there is anything else that is such an accomplished and consummate cruiser such as this

Edit: ours have about 600hp and 740 or thereabouts Nm thanks to VelocityAP
