Be careful with online discount tyres they are often a few years old I bought some Pirellis from Blackcircle last year and they were 2019 - for me no issue as I wear them out in a year but be careful - there are no hard rules on this but I wouldn't go over 5 years old but thats just me

5 years old! Shocked That's not on at all, I'd have rejected them.

General consensus is 10 years is as old as you should run, so at 5 years old they're already half way through their expected life span.

Appreciate what you';re saying about your mileage, though. So was good of you to accept them!

My Dad had cracking between the treads on 3 year old tyres on his (owned from new) BMW X3, only 10K miles on factory fitted tyres, can't remember the brand, possibly Bridgestone.
