Lost my licence for a bit

Before everyone start no it was not for speeding
Well I surrendered it as I had a couple of seizures albeit 11 months apart so they diagnosed me with epilepsy as I had had two seizure . They did the tests and found nothing but I was still told to surrender the licence.
I thought a year but then I noticed a caveat - if you only have seizures when asleep and are still having them and have had them for over a year the DVLA will reinstate your licence so instead of a year it was six weeks.
God knows how their logic works

Well done, brave step to take but a very responsible one. I hope you manage to get an early resolution to your ailments, there are some great drugs around nowadays that control epilepsy really well. BMW i3 Electric Car

Thanks everyone and yes it was a nightmare having to sit with Mrs T maybe maybe not going at a junction and the time it took to get anywhere.
Anyway since getting it back have been to France twice and Germany once and the old girl went through the Mot with no advisories on 250k
I will change it one day probably to LHD

Best wishes Sandy.
I suffered a similar experience back in 2006 when I suffered a major stroke and was told I had to stop driving and inform the DVLA,, initially for 6 weeks, but not to drive again until the doctors agreed to recommend to the DVLA that I was fully recovered and fit to resume, which took nearly 6 months due to delays between appointments etc.
Good health
Cheers
