Had a great time at the LRE in a TDV8 including quite a long drive on the roads.

Unfortunately, despite being invited to drive their NEW 2010 model, it doesnt arrive until the next week or so Big Cry LR have invited me back though to enjoy the 2010 so i will be able to contrast etc... Cool Very Happy

Really enjoyed the 2009 TDV8 however. Alot better than the TD6.

Calling all TD6 drivers out there. DONT drive a TDV8 or you may feel the urge to upgrade. The TDV8 engine was superb and gave the FFRR the engine it deserves. Super vehicle! With a Chip/Remap etc they must be unbelieveable Exclamation Bow down

Hard to see how they can improve it on the 2010MY but looking forward to finding out.

I believe the best idea is to wait a year. If you want to go the diesel way, there are rumors that LR will upgrade the 3.6 tdv8 to a 4.0. This makes buying a 2010 diesel not such a good idea, unleass you really want to do it.

When I saw the 2010 i though about it, mainly because of the new toys but as the engine is the same i won't jump into it.

On a final note, the tdv8 really is something else. Everyday i'm impressed by it......

Got my LR experience day booked for Sept in Skipton and chose the FFRR of course. Then, two weeks ago, my local dealer handed me another LR experience voucher after taking the car in for a minor warranty claim. So might now be able to compare petrol vs diesel offroad. Not bad for a freebie.

Must say the new SC is very Mr. Green however its still the TDV8 that is my choice it is a face lift a nice one at that the must have is the camera system its worth it and the quality now is great.

Thats a point. They probably don't , if only because of their fuel consumption. Ah well.
Cheers

I'm off to Skipton in Sept. also.

I 've spent another £99 and upgraded to a full day Level 1 course.

Have to share, but was offered 1/2 day 1 to 1 for the same price, but not recognised as the true level 1 course.
