Dealer promotions

Have had one on order since February and getting cold feet. Went to have another look today, and the dealer told me that they have been doing promotions of about 7k to shift some stock. Also said they had paused making them for a little while, back on now.

That's just a starting point. You're hearing of 12.5% discount but others can share what they've achieved.

Very different to even 12 months ago, let alone 2 years.

England 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver

Two years ago was crazy territory! Long waiting lists and dealerships trying to buy cars off customers on collection day.

I had ordered a new Defender 110 XS at the end of 2019. After numerous new build dates I finally picked it up in 2022. 2 weeks after collection I sold it for £23k more than I had paid for it….

Not looked at the new car market for a while but I guess that things have changed? I would haggle hard!

Jim

There are 660 brand new unregistered Range Rovers on Autotrader, 10%+ savings on list for some of them and that’s the advertised price so a starting point for negotiation MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid
MY19 SDV8 Autobiography - Sold

Depends what model you’re going for. Dealers seem happy to discount the HSE at a higher % compared to an autobiography for example. Just glancing at auto trader as well there’s bigger advertised discounts for the HSE models although there a couple at steeper discounts with the less “popular” colour interiors which I assume they are struggling to shift.

I had a swift look at autotrader.
For the spec I put in , there were just thirteen cars. Actually about three, just all the various branches of the same retailer offering the same car made it look like 13.

Not swopping as the hit on depreciation is overwhelmingly bad , so saving up for one of the last pure diesel cars in 2029 , assuming I’m still kicking… or unless I change my mind. Rolling with laughter Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
