I think, and could be wrong, that if it was not fitted fully in it doesn't allow you to remove the key.

Might be best waiting someone better educated however on this one!!

Thank you ! I think it’s okay. It seems solid and will take my body weight without any movement whatsoever.

I’m carrying a bike rack rather than towing anything weighty so I think it will be fine. TDV8 4.4 2012
