I have a small trailer which i use for bits of jobs, i used it for the first time yesterday with my RR. I now have the orange dots illuminated in both mirrors and they won't go off.

The manual states that that the blind spot monitoring will be limited when an electrical connector is connected to a JLR approved trailer socket (which it is). It then states that the BSM remains disabled until a trailer is disconnected from the socket while the vehicle is still running. To re-enable, switch the vehicle electrical system off then back on again and the BSM will be enabled.

I can't find anything that switches the vehicles electric off, the most obvious to me was switch the vehicle off and back on, however the orange lights are still illuminated.

I tried again this morning after being off and locked all night, however orange dots still illuminated.

Has anyone else had the same issue and managed to resolve it?

BSM orange dots are normally on even without a trailer until you start driving, I asume you've tried driving and they remain on? L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

You were spot on 4RRS, thanks As soon as i started driving the BSM dots went out. I’m at a loss as to why i have never noticed them before when stopped. I think I’m loosing it…
