Hello everyone,

I have been offered a set of Conti WinterContact TS 860S XL's, in 275/40/22 size and 107V index.

I can see on Continental's website they are marketed as passenger car tyres, and when i choose SUV options they don't show up, even though they are offered in the same 275/40/22 size. The site suggests ContiCrossContact Winter(108V), which I am currently running, and looking to replace.

Why is that do you think? Should i pick them up anyway?

dot is year 23, so maybe discontinued in that size, not sure.

I'm not sure what the difference would be in a dedicated SUV tyre as the load ratings are close.

I also run CrossContact Winters in 275/40/22. I don't think I'd risk something that isn't recommended for an SUV. The Cross Contact Winters are recommended by JLR for the L405 so I feel happy that in the event of an accident etc. there would be no problem with insurance.....

i believe OE spec landrover tyres have the letter 'L' on the sidewall..

dont forget that the range rover is a big heavy machine.. ... - .- -.
