As per the heading really, my other half has decided that she wants to get rid of her Mazda and get one of these new MGs.

They seem well spec’d for the money so I’m just asking if anyone has had one and if they’re any good?

don't know anything about them, but i seem to remember reading that they have a 0 rating for safety RR 2005 4.4 petrol

Cheap and nasty inside, but it is a cheap car, so...

Leased an HS EV to take advantage of the company car tax bribes. I agree that they’re cheap and nasty inside but what isn’t when you’re used to what we drive🤣
The main driver liked it so much that he bought it at the end of the lease (3 years old 28K miles for £10K with balance of 7 years warranty). It’s now 4 years old, battery still has the same range as when it was new & £120 service each year along with all tax. Utterly faultless but boring as hell so not for me but for cheap transport it takes some beating.

One of my neighbours has an estate MG, uses it as a taxi. Him & another driver so its used for approx 18 hours a day, every day. Never asked him about it, but must be fine as it goes out every day. He has had it for around 2 years, replacing a Leaf

Thanks everyone, I don’t know why she likes them, she had a couple of Volvos and then got the Mazda, which she says feels a bit cheap inside so who knows what she will make of these. I did suggest she could give me the money and I’d get a supercharged and she could use the defender if I wasn’t using it.
