Lost the key locksmith estimates £550

I have the l322 2006 4.2 s/c

What bits do i need from a breaker to get this running

Door lock
Ignition lock
Immobiliser ecu
Engine ecu?

I can see deisel 3.0 and 4.4v8 sets on ebay but im guess the engine ecu is the main bit. Can a jag xk8 ecu and immobiliser and key work? To get it running, not too bothered with the physical keys as its always garaged and never anything in it to nick 2014 L405 3.0d 150k miles

Salvage UK on YouTube list a chap who can do it from the Vin number. They recently did a Rangerover without a key, they had to change a module in the boot.

My locksmith has said he believes i can send him the lock barrel and the ews and he should be able to do it and return it and as im doing all the work on thw car he can do it for £180. He is about 75 miles from me so posting it dows save a few quid 2014 L405 3.0d 150k miles

Are you with RAC ? I have key cover with my breakdown cover. My car came with 1 key as the spare had been lost in the mists of time. Phoned the RAC and told them the spare key had been lost. They sent out a locksmith who supplied a new key, coded it and cut a new blade - all in about 20 mins, for zero cost.

Check your breakdown cover and insurance and get it added for future peace of mind if you don't already have it.
