4.4 tdv8 shut off valve replacement Secondary

Lads ive to tackle replacing shut off valve on Turbo B
Anyone done this job before and can give me a few pointers
Where's best to access is it underneath rather than wheel arch
What has to come off from underneath, is it prop and exhaust?
Anyone got access to Topix to see what service manual procedure is? 2012 l322
TIA

Are you needing to replace the turbine shut-off valve (exhaust) or the compressor shut-off valve (inlet air)? The earlier version of the compressor shut-off valve is the one that gets stuck. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

It's the compressor one

I'm aware of the sticking but it's faulty and needs to be replaced

That's the turbine shut-off valve, not the compressor shut-off valve. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

The new one may require a PCM calibration as the PCM stores the closed position which could be different to the old one. My son's 3.0 D4 needed a calibration when the turbine valve's closed position on a replacement engine didn't match the PCM which caused a restricted performance fault at idle. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Good luck, I had to fix mine with WD40 and a cable tie on the hose. That was a nightmare to get to, let us know how you get on ! Hoping mine doesn't need replacing, trying to use the secondary turbo couple of times a fortnight now to avoid sticking
