Creaking settling to access height(and where to jack up)L322

Hi All,

Recently bought a 2006 (MY2007) L322 and noticed a creaking from O/S/R as it settled on the suspension

My guess is top and bottom hub bush (from reading online)

Is this the likely candidate, or should I check other stuff too?

Also - I'm going to need to jack up (trolley jack) and use axle stands - where are the places to jack (front and rear) and place the stands? Its a heavy beast.....

Thanks for any help,

Rob. Some days its just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Do you have the handbrake on when you lower it?
I always have the handbrake off when raising or lowering because the wheels will roll a bit and the noise could be from the parking brake shoes.

It's a good point - will try without. Does sort of make sense it could be that.

My habit is to apply brakes whenever possible (though not necessary on an auto) so will definitely be with the brake on.

Thanks again Smile Some days its just not worth chewing through the restraints.....
