There is nothing in the UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018 that would prevent the shop from providing you a copy of the suspects. ‘Legitimate interests’ (in this case it is in the public interests to detect and deter criminal acts) is a lawful basis for sharing the footage. trackers are passive so only really tell you where the vehicle is rather than preventing it from going. I have a niggling suspicion that it is not legal to fit a kill switch that activates when the vehicle is in motion, so the best option is something that prevents the vehicle from starting.

My L405 has a stoplock fitted 'always' when I leave it too.

it is a standard insurance thing where they ask for both keys back (presumably to confirm that you hadnt left the key in the car and it was stolen that way).
