Head Unit Update Question from OEM series 2 to OEM series 3

Hi everyone,

This may sound like a daft question, but there is method in the madness. I’m wondering if the series 3 unit is a straight swap into my series 2? I’m looking at buying a Unique Auto kit and thought having a later head unit with its better LR functions might be a better option.
