When I suck the oil out of my engine I typically only get about 8L so I put about 8L back in and the on screen indicator reads fullish.

Not getting all the old oil out is the only explanation |

Are you getting the engine warmed up sufficient before starting sucking , much easier than trying to with cold engine.

I am doing all the right things apart from changing the filter last as I got round to thinking that it might hold a litre or so. I’m not particularly worried as even 8L of fresh oil should at least in part help with the dilution situation. Geoff |

I've sucked it out several times and I only get 8 ltrs as well, that's with unscrewing the oil filter first and the level showing nearly full...

I assume you are talking about the 4.4 engine? I have just replaced my oil and got exactly 9.25 litres out and refilled it with the same. Shows as 2 down from the top of the level so not in the red. _______________________________________________
