Workshop manual also says to check for central on the aperture just like powerfuluk did. I can assure you mine is not central at all now to get this improvement. So I'm still not understanding what has changed structurally on the vehicle over 6 years. 2023 L460 Range Rover SE P400 2019 L405 Range Rover ATB LWB |

I suspect nothing has changed on the vehicle, it simply left the factory that shoddy way, on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon, and it was never noticed before. Mine was the same, and I could find zero evidence of movement of the fasteners. The first sign is usually the corners of the spoiler rubbing on the D-pillars, which again, no-one really notices until it’s pointed out. V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong! |

I think I'm gonna reattempt this at some point when I can find an available buddy I would want to bother with this. From the workshop manual I have, it does not explicitly mention removing the tailgate struts from the tailgate connections, although it does make logical sense. Another thing that makes logical sense, and which I have not done, is to have the lower tailgate down when aligning the top.
