Early and late prefacelift seat compatible

I've recently picked up a my17 autobiography but would like to swap the seats but the only seats in the correct colour I can find are from a my13 car albeit also an autobiography. The 2 versions of seats have a different button control panel and presumably a different control module but are the seats in essence the same and can it be made to work.

Can the earlier seats be fitted to the later car potentially with controls and module swapped over and not loose any functionality.

Thanks

if you my17 is the face lift version then i believe the canbus is different and the seat controls are in different locations.. ... - .- -.

It's a pre-facelift stan with the controls mounted on the side of the seat. The only obvious difference is the button for lumbar/bolster

you might be lucky and have the same canbus but that year was a kinda change over one so i'd do some more investigating ...

edit, is the infotainment screen the 'old' style or the full width one without the side buttons? ... - .- -.

It's the updated style infotainment so maybe that would indicate a new version of canbus
