Can someone tell me what’s the difference between these two filters ….they both fit and yet some sites say hu7010 is the right one and the other is not ……

A = 64 mm; B = 31 mm; C = 31 mm; H = 115 mm
with gasket
HU7010z is
A = 64 mm; B = 31 mm; C = 31 mm; H = 110 mm
with gasket

Height is clearly everything.

If you search on these numbers, many companies provide a whole host of other brands part numbers that match the OE Land Rover part.
Ebay listing often do this.

...........anyone want to buy a mann hu7010z ?????

I too have been looking into this recently. My findings so far are this.
HU7010z is 110mm long so is too short but some part suppliers offer it as “compatible” when really they are not.
I purchased a genuine Landrover filter LR022896 for reference and it is also marked as a Mann HU718/4, is 115mm long but by appearance it is a cellulose fibre filter.
The Ryco R2682P is also listed as suitable for this engine and is also a cellulose filter and is listed as interchangeable with the HU718/1k
I contacted Mann and was told the HU718/1k is also cellulose, the HU 718/4 is now superseded and is replaced by HU718/5 which is a synthetic fibre filter
So in conclusion (my summary not from a certified filter manufacturer)
HU7010z is wrong
HU718/1k, HU718/4, LR022896, R2682P are all interchangeable cellulose filters
HU718/5x is also interchangeable and is a higher quality synthetic filter so would ultimately be best to use.
