I have since swapped to some 285/45R22 on the SVO forged alloys. Nothing wrong with the setup I had previously just really like this new tyre/wheel combo.

Alex - Sorry to bring up an old thread, the link doesn't work for their website - is there any chance you could put a new link up as there are a few options on their website? Very much appreciated!

I’ve just had my L460 wheels delivered yesterday.

Do you think these nuts are suitable?

You really need to use an extended thread nut to achieve the required thread engagement. The issue you will find is that the studs are not long enough when mounting a L460 alloy on an L405 so hence the need for an extended thread nut. I think you will find you will achieve circa 8.5 turns before the nut seats and really you want 12 turns min - equivalent to 18 mm of thread on the nut/stud.

Thanks Alex.

Yes, having test fitted one of the L460 wheels yesterday I have a better appreciation of the issue, and I can see how an extended thread will be better.

My new wheels are black and I’m struggling to find the right ET studs in black so will keep searching.

I ordered yesterday some studs from Amazon, to see how many full turns I can get. If I understand what you’re saying correctly, each full turn is 1.5mm of thread engagement.

In test fitting, using the old L405 studs, I can get 10 full turns, but I don’t know if the flat bottom of those studs is preventing them engaging further.

Will update when the Amazon studs arrive later today. Current > FFRR 2018 3.0 SDV6

The Amazon studs were about 9 full turns. I found these Extended Threadones and was able to collect as the shop was only 30 minutes away from me in Aldershot. I think it was 14/ 14.5 turns and I’ve not torqued them yet, so much more comfortable with them.
