I have since swapped to some 285/45R22 on the SVO forged alloys. Nothing wrong with the setup I had previously just really like this new tyre/wheel combo.

You really need to use an extended thread nut to achieve the required thread engagement. The issue you will find is that the studs are not long enough when mounting a L460 alloy on an L405 so hence the need for an extended thread nut. I think you will find you will achieve circa 8.5 turns before the nut seats and really you want 12 turns min - equivalent to 18 mm of thread on the nut/stud. |

The Amazon studs were about 9 full turns. I found these Extended Threadones and was able to collect as the shop was only 30 minutes away from me in Aldershot. I think it was 14/ 14.5 turns and I’ve not torqued them yet, so much more comfortable with them.
