Corrosion on the visible bit of the front brake pipe is the tip of the iceberg. They will also be rotten behind the near side sill, the front to back run. Replaced all of mine on the drive fairly easily using cupronickel.

Well it looks like this is going to be sold to the breakers yard, none of the local welders really want to repair it. So it’s pointless me doing the front brake pipes or the driveshaft boot.

Whilst I may agree with you both, it's my responsible adults motor, and after 6yrs of ownership and a few hours of tinkering with loads of reading this very forum for the answers (on her behalf) she has decided that she wanted .... Range Rover Sport L320. So as I'm sure most of you will understand, once they make there mind up they go out and buy what they want, leaving others to sort it....hence where I'm at now. So unfortunately it's surplus to requirements as I has the sister brand, an X351. So it will have to go in afraid.
