Restricted Performance on Startup

Hi

My 2015 SDV8 L405 has developed a fault where every time I start up it goes straight into Restricted Performance.

If I plug in my generic OBDII scanner it comes up with no codes, but doing a reset (i.e. Clear Codes using the reader) takes the car out of Restricted Performance and it drives faultlessly until the next time I start it, when I have to repeat the routine.

It feels like one of those little Range Rover quirks which someone may have come across before...Any ideas?

Thanks!

Id take a look at the battery first off.

It may be on its way out and these bad boys do not like weak batteries.

Just a thought.

Your scanner could be clearing a fault that is not shown..

I'd also suggest the battery as first port of call then maybe get the codes read by a garage who has the right equipment ..... Thumbs Up Pete

Thanks guys,

As the car had only been used for my 15 minute commute lately, I took it for a longer run down the motorway and the problem has disappeared, so I suspect the battery just needed a good charge.
