United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey
Ownership, the story so far

Bought a 67 plate Autobiography from main dealer 51k miles back in May, a week after collecting the car said service required in 1500 miles so reported to dealer who insisted it just wanted resetting. I argued that it was more likely oil dilution they agreed to pay for a service at my local indy. Whilst there they noticed an oil leak, coolant leak from rear hvac pipes, worn anti roll bar bushes and faulty tailgate struts.
I advised seller of this and they told me to make a claim under warranty to CarCare but I suspected would be rejected due to timescale.
I then chose to reject the car which they agreed I could do but offered to collect the car and fix at no expense to me. The car has been with them for over 3 weeks and not been touched while awaiting inspection by warranty company. Car was inspected and claim rejected as they had record of me reporting not long after delivery ( I suspect they were stalling on getting inspector to increase timeline).
They have now said they will fix all faults at their cost or I can have my money back.
The car is very clean inside and out with towpack and deployable steps, had new pads and discs prior to collection.
I'm now in a pickle as to what to do - what would you do?
I'm by no means new to LR ownership and did buy this with my heart and not my head. I do need a tow vehicle that will do 3.5t. Oh and it is a 4.4

If you can trust the dealer to actually fix the problems first attempt and not ruin anything else in the process.
Go for that.
If you have any doubts about their ability to solve them all in one go.
Take your money and find another.

Life is too short for jlr to make your days stressful!

Oh and they lend you a tow vehicle for as long as they have your car!

They're all quite minor faults, and probably to be expected on an 7 to 8 year old vehicle. Most probably none of them are MOT failures, ARB bushes might only be an advisory for example.

The indy probably went over it with a fine tooth-comb, but that's to be expected as that's how they generate their income. Especially if you asked them to give it a good-looking over (which would be understandable).

If you're happy with the car, then I'd let the dealer fix it. They seem to be being quite reasonable about it all, as I read this?

The only thing that's offputting, is the 3 weeks it was stood awaiting the warranty company inspection. Perhaps that was down to the warranty company and now the garage are saying, "well if they won't cover it, we'll fix it anyway"?

So they still sound like a very reasonable seller.

If you like the car, and it has the history you were looking for, I'd seriously consider keeping it.

Just my thoughts...
