is it just me

Have a P530 SV LWB and when driving at night I am constantly getting flashed by irate fellow drivers who are being dazzled by my auto headlights plainly not working correctly. When coming up behind other cars you can see the head light beam on my car splitting into sections as intended to avoid dazzling other drivers. However they are still being dazzled so I have reverted to manually operating high beam (I know 1st world problem).
When being checked out by the dealer I am told there are no fault codes and all is working correctly.
My other half's 18 plate AB has the laser headlights fitted which work beautifully and have never once resulted in abuse or a fist being shaken. So I know how the system should work.
Is there some re-calibration that can be carried out to get the system working correctly?
Any one else having the same problem or is it just me?

Only a suggestion.

When I first had the car, I drove along the dual A12, which has cats eyes on the right.
Quite late at night. Few cars. No street lamps & dark.

The cats eyes on the right were lit up in my beam for maybe 100m or so…

As a car came along the other way, the cats eyes went dark as the car approached and were lit up beyond. Just singled out the eyes associated to the position of the oncoming car ,

Just checking the blue lamp above the headlight says auto , yes? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I must admit, I've been impressed with the auto lights on mine.

As MJGH says, I can see the high beam reducing once it senses another car's headlights coming the other way.

I don't think I've been flashed yet, well not for my headlights... 2024 P550e Autobiography

It was one of the reasons I got rid of mine. The lights were always trying to decide where to light and where not to. I got flashed by so many and the dealer kept saying everything was OK. letters not necessarily in the right order

I have just remembered.

Whilst this had nothing to do with the light beam, I did have a problem with my driver's side front light.

I noticed, when I locked the car, after a couple of minutes, you could hear a slight humming noise coming from behind the driver's side lighting unit. It would stay on for days if the car were not used, but as soon as you unlocked the car or walked up to it with the key, it would stop.

LR Assist came out and diagnosed that the noise was coming from the cooling fan for the lighting unit. It was fixed with a software update.

With our cars being so reliant on software now, and the issue you're having is affecting some users but not all, I wonder if maybe the sensors aren't working or calibrated correctly.

Just a thought. 2024 P550e Autobiography

Perhaps the manual height adjustment is set too high. The dealer should have no trouble checking the height if only they considered it a possibility. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims
