I have a MY17 L405 which I’ve just fitted a deployable tow bar to. As I had side steps, my car already had the module, however, the functionality for the tow bar is turned off at factory. I’m hoping someone nearby has the appropriate tool (GAP IID or pathfinder etc.) and the know-how to enable tow bar functionality via the CCF? I would travel to you and throw booze money your way, of course.

Tow assist and hitch assist would be a nice-to-have but I don’t know if these are also possible or more complex etc. Previously owned: Range Rover L322 2007 TDv8 Vogue SE in Santorini Black

gap iidtools are vin locked so unless someone adds your vin to their iidtool [theres a cost] or someone has a 'pro' iidtool then those are your only options.. ... - .- -.

Stan, you can read and reset codes on any vehicle the IID tool suits...

It's writing and editing the CCF which is vin locked...

Handy to take one when looking to buy a fatty as it will show you all the faults....  Pete
