L405 GAP key programmjng

Hi, first question on my new to me L405 !
I have read in places that the GAP IID BT can programme keys fobs on the L405 especially the earlier models ( mines a 2014 ) seems a lot of conflicting reports on this and wondering if anyone can confirm either way if it’s possible or not.

It can, as long as the car hasn't had the security mod done. This mod locks access to the KVM through the OBD port. Current:

Thanks for that Zebedee, I couldn't see the menu on the Gap Tool but wasn’t sure where the menu is as I’ve only programmed L322 keys in the past and seemed to find the correct menu back then. Do you know which menu it is although I’m guessing it may be locked out as you say, the car is a 2013 and I was under the impression Landrover started locking them out after this model year.

When I tried it, Patrick from GAP said:

Its in Menu--Service Test--Remote Function Actuator
Battery replace is in the Gateway ECU, not the BCM

etc... this is all detailed in the user manual - https://www.gap-diagnostic.com/support/documents/IIDTool/

I had problems with this getting the report "Operation Failed" and "This version of Key Module May Need to be Unlocked Contact GAP", which then led to Patrick seaching the details of the car and then saying "Unfortunately your RFA was locked by LR thus keys cannot be added. Only solution is to replace the KVM".

This turned out not to be strictly true hence the post https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic72989.html Current:

Thanks Zebedee for the info that seems like a good place to start, I checked the manual and it made reference to having an already programmed key and sending the ecu info to GAP to allow the preparation of a file which has to be repeated twice, not sure what this means but I will try and follow the instructions in the manual.
