Alarm sounds when trying to unlock using fob

This is quite a weird one!!

For some time now I've had the alarm sounding for 2 repetitions then the car would unlock but the clocks would reset to default. I've seen this reported several times by others but never seen a resolution.

Now this has moved on to when I attempt to unlock using the fob the alarm sounds constantly and the vehicle will not unlock. My workaround that I found, only by chance, is that if I stand at the front of the car, within 1 metre, then I can unlock and all is ok.

I've tried with brand new (just purchased) Duracell 2032 in the fob but the same occurs. Vehicle battery is also fully charged.

No, I don't own an IID, or know anyone with one, to check any codes Sad

Does anyone have any ideas on what could possibly be the cause please?? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini Black with black interior and glass
